Our guest today is Football Consultant and Author, Daniel Fieldsend. Fieldsend is the author of the book the European Game: The Secrets of European Football Success, a book about his travels over the course of three months to more than 10 of the best football academies in Europe. In the book, he speaks with all sorts of interesting characters, from revolutionary coaches, powerful to video analysts to understand what makes each of these clubs so unique and successful.
In our conversation, he talks about observations from his book, how British teams could incorporate tactics from continental teams, psychogeography and how it shapes clubs and several cases that were powerful to him such as Athletic Bilbao, Bayern Munich and Benfica.
